Both groups met at Kate Kearney's Cottage and set off at 10.15 a.m. and headed up the Gap Road and on to the zig-sags, across the relatively boggy area and up to Cnoc na Bhraca at 731 m.
Then the A group headed up the wide spur to Cruach Mor at 931 m. From there they retraced their steps back to the col and and contoured around to Cnoc na Tarabh and return across the boggy area and down to Kate Kearney's Cottage, arriving back at 4 p.m.
The B group on reaching Cnoc na Bhraca continued on to Cnoc na Tarabh and descended the spur down to Drishana and on to the road at the top of the Gap and returned by the road to Kate Kearney's Cottage at 4:25 p.m.
The day was foggy and wet for the most part, only clearing, only clearing at around 2:45 p.m.
